About
I'm a product design leader who works where healthcare gets complicated: plan benefits, care gaps, claims, and the people who need answers about them.
For more than 13 years I've designed digital health products, most of them for Medicare Advantage members. Today I'm a Lead Product Designer on the Benefits & Coverage Experience Design team at Humana.
My background started in print and Fine Arts before moving into digital and dynamic media. That training still shows up in how I work: strong hierarchy, careful craft, and design that explains itself.
How I lead
I lead through clarity more than authority. On complex healthcare problems, my job is to make the direction obvious: a clear point of view, a shared picture of what good looks like, and a plan teams can act on.
Setting direction
I turn ambiguous problems into visions that product, engineering and business partners can rally around, from AI-driven experiences for members to tools that help associates on every call. I bring a point of view to the room and the evidence to back it.
Growing designers
I've managed senior product designers, and I still invest in the people around me. I mentor, run critiques that sharpen thinking rather than polish pixels, and build frameworks and patterns that raise the quality of work beyond my own projects.
Partnering with product and engineering
I treat my product and engineering partners as co-owners of the outcome. I design with constraints in view, trade off scope openly, and tie design decisions to the measures the business cares about, like STARs, handle time and call volume.
